FAQ's - ASK A PREMIUM PRO

Can you get rid of pet odors?
Yes, but the process will differ from customer to customer,
based on each specific circumstance. In order to best
advise our customers, we would need to inspect the area.
Please call our office for more information.

How often should I clean my carpet?
Carpet manufacturers advise that  residential carpet
should be professionally cleaned at least every 12-18
months to ensure best performance and longevity.

A carpet should be cleaned more often if pets and/or
children are present and twice as much if you smoke.

A carpet that is regularly maintained will not only last longer but will also provide a healthier
indoor environment.
.

*The environmental Protection Agency published a guide that suggested regular cleaning frequencies based on
the number of occupants and other factors.

How long will it take to clean my carpet?
It depends on the condition of carpet and size of areas. Call us if you would like more information
or to quote the project.

How soon can I walk on carpet after it has been cleaned?
Carpets will be damp when complete and it takes approximately 4 hours for the carpet fibers to
rejuvenate. We recommend waiting the full 4 hours before walking on it, however there are steps
our technicians can take to speed up the drying time if needed. Ask your technician for more
information.

Do you move furniture?
We can move most furniture if necessary. We do request, however, that you have all small items
removed from the area (trinkets, lamps, glass ornaments, etc.) prior to our arrival.

What should I consider when selecting a carpet or upholstery cleaner?
When selecting a professional carpet cleaning company you may want to consider some of the
following:

1. What kind of experience do they have and how knowledgeable are they?
– The years of experience a firm has, combined with formal training programs, contributes
significantly to the proficiency of its employees. Professional firms use trained technicians who
have the ability to answer basic questions regarding cleaning, maintenance, and spot removal
procedures.

2. Did you get what you bargained for?
- Inspections and Pricing – NEVER select a carpet cleaner based on price alone. A low priced
service could actually damage your carpet. Look for a firm that offers estimating, consulting and
pre-cleaning inspections. Confirm that they use only the highest quality products from top
manufacturers. Discount products tend to leave residue and may cause other problems. After
inspection, the customers should be provided with a firm, written cost for the cleaning services.

3. Do they have quality references?
– Firms should be willing, when requested, to provide customers with references. Firms should
provide value-oriented service including, but not necessarily limited to: courteous personnel,
quick and comprehensive complaint handling, and appropriate recommendations for additional
services, such as application of carpet protectors, carpet repair, and deodorization.

4. Do they have certified Technicians?
--Firms should have technicians on staff who are specifically trained in carpet cleaning and who
are certified by the IICRC.

5. Do they have insurance and are they bonded?
--Firms should carry adequate business and liability insurance for consumer protection. They
should comply with the licensing requirements of local, state, provincial, and federal authorities.

If you have water damage how important is it to dry properly?
If water is not extracted quickly mold MAY begin to grow and the areas affected can become
dangerous to be around. Some water damage will not be apparent to the naked eye so rely on a
professional to assess the condition of your home or business to advise you on all necessary
repairs.

What health benefits do I get from cleaning my carpets on a regular basis?
Outdoor air contains pollens, fungus, bacteria, air pollution, cigarette smoke, car exhaust and
hundreds of other chemicals. When you and your family members come into your home, you
carry those pollens, bacteria, and chemicals in your hair and on your skin, clothing, and shoes.
Not surprisingly, all those chemicals, pollens, and bacteria wind up in your carpet.

If you have allergies, asthma, emphysema, or other breathing issues, one major source of your
symptoms related to these problems could be the pollens, fungus, and chemicals in your carpet.

So, in addition to getting rid of dirt, another important reason to clean your carpet is to get rid of
pollens, fungus, bacteria, chemicals, as well as tars and residue from tobacco smoke.
